Transylvania hardly needs an introduction. The myths of vampires and the tales of Vlad the Impaler are enough to convince you to visit this land.

Discover some of the most important citadels and castles of Transylvania on a 3-day sightseeing tour of Sibiu, Brasov, Sinaia and more. We will visit together the Dracula’s Castle, and discover the architectural wonders of Saxon settlers.

On the first day of the tour we will discover together the Prahova River Valley in the Carpathian Mountains, visiting the stunning Peles Castle, the former Royal summer residence, the famous Dracula’s Castle in Bran and Brasov, a medieval city founded by german colonists where you will experience the charm of the city through a walking tour of the Old Town area.

On the second day we depart from Brasov heading to Sighisoara, one of the most beautiful, best-preserved and still inhabited medieval citadels in Europe. The city is known as the birth place of the Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), turned into a legend by Bram Stocker, as the Count Dracula. We will be visiting Prejmer, the fortified church, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the end of the day you will arrive in picturesque Sibiu, designated as the European Capital of Culture in 2007, and ranked “Europe’s 8th most idyllic place to live” in 2014 by Forbes.

The third day will be reserved for getting back to Bucharest, but only after we have checked all the attractions of Sibiu: the Clock Tower, the Large/Small Square, Brukenthal museum, the Orthodox Cathedral and the old citadel defense walls.
